A couple of weeks ago, I got a voice message from someone who said they wanted me to be on a talk show.

Could it be the “Big O” calling?

Could Chicago be in my travel plans?

How about the Today show?

Naaaah! Not quite.

However, it did turn out to be a radio talk show that plays on 164 stations throughout the country and they had heard about some recent success stories from folks working in Probate Real Estate………. even in this economic turmoil we currently experiencing.

So they went online, discovered a site that reviews Probate courses and since mine was ranked #1, they gave me a call to see if I would be interested in being on the show.

Sounded good to me!

So a producer called me to set everything up.

No first class airplane tickets or a room at the Ritz-Carlton. No Oprah budget.

The guy who does the show is named Jeff Tracy and he seems to interview on a variety of topics but right now his programs are focused on little known ways that folks can make extra income…….and only those that take very little cash to start up.

Recently, I have had the question about which format of my course “31 Days to Profits in Probate Real Estate” is the best.

My answer to everyone is “it depends”.

The reason I say it depends is because each of us has our own best method for learning.

Some can easily learn from reading off the computer.

I think there are a couple of things to note in Pat’s message.

Two, the system is working as we speak. I know the information we are getting daily talks about the direness of the economic times but there are some of us not listening……and we are making good money.

I was reading the Sunday paper yesterday ( yes I did cancel my newspaper subscription but we still do purchase the Sunday edition for reading after church) and there was a story about a small town that has had a manufacturing plant close but one of the local shop keepers said if he didn’t watch TV he wouldn’t know about all the hard times. He said business was off a little but nothing that he hasn’t weathered before.

As you have heard me say before, I believe resourcefulness is more
important than resources.

But what does that really mean, you might ask?

Well, here’s an example of what I think it means.

Have you ever thought if you had just one more piece of
information, if there was just one more book you could find, if you
just could come up with that one last secret that all successful
people must know but you don’t……then all would be going smoothly
for you.

Well, that’s looking for more resources.

Now don’t get me wrong, you need to have resources.

If for example, you decide to become a Probate Real Estate
investor, you need to have some guidance as to what you need to do
to be successful.

And I just happen to know the guy for that………..

But once you have the information, that’s when the resourcefulness
kicks in.

How you think about your new business, what’s your attitude toward
your daily activities, how certain are you that you will succeed,
how creative are you in coming up with solutions to the problems
that are certain to occur…….

In other words, resourcefulness has to do with the mental aspect of
your success while resources are the physical part.

Now, as most of you know, I provide 30 days of email support when
you are first getting started in Probate Real Estate so I believe I
have a pretty good feeling about what the types of questions are.

They’re all about more resources.

Should I mail to the estate if there’s a will?

What if I cannot get the PR’s address?

How do I find buyers?

I’ve mailed 100 letters and I still don’t have a deal. What should
I do?

I know this works in Oregon where you live, but will it work in
Texas?

My sellers won’t give me a big enough discount.

You see, all these questions are about more information.

What I don’t get are questions about “what can I do for mind
conditioning”?

What can I do to insure my success?

Are there any mental practices I should be doing on a regular basis?

Well before I answer let me tell you a quick story.

Yesterday I received an email from a guy named Joe Vitale. Now I
don’t know Joe, I’m just on his mailing list like you are on mine
so I’m not going to use the phrase “My good friend, Joe Vitale”.

I’ve bought several of Joe’s books and I saw him on the promotional
material for “The Secret”. I like his stuff and I respect him.

But yesterday, Joe was telling me me about a person he has a
lot of respect for. Her name is Helen Hadsell and she’s 83 years
old.

Now the reason Joe decided to tell me about this young lady is
because Helen is a winner.

A contest winner.

You see, over the years, Helen has entered every contest she could
find and she’s been pretty darn successful at it.

How about over 5000 times successful at it?

Sounds like “successful” might be too weak a word for Helen.

Here’s some of her winnings:

Do you think Helen might just know something that you and I don’t?

Do you think just maybe Helen thinks differently than you and I do?

Helen is the ultimate when it comes to being “resourceful”.

Now I have not bought or read her book where she tells how she does
it but I will almost guarantee she will tell you it’s all about how
you think and use your mind.

It’s either that or she has learned how to cheat really, really well.

But I’m pretty sure she has a daily practice of mind conditioning
that she uses to “vision” her success before it happens.

Why do I say that….because it’s pretty common knowledge that most
highly successful people use some form of mind conditioning almost
every day.

Now I don’t mean to put myself in the class of a John Assaraf (John
built and sold RE/Max of Indiana in just a few short years while
in his 20’s) or a Joe Vitale (Joe is really into cars so his latest
project was to “acquire” a new Rolls Royce, which he did) but I do
spend 1 ½ hours each day on my own personal mental conditioning.

Every morning from 5 to 6:30, I work on my mind.

I repeat my daily, weekly and even yearly, goals.

I do visioning, I do meditation.

Why do I do it?

Because it works……it provides me with my resourcefulness.

Now, after 8 steady years of this practice, I think I can
truthfully say I need it to get my day started.

I don’t need any coffee but I do need my mental conditioning each
morning.

Gotta have it!

So the question then becomes what do I recommend to you if you
want to start your own mental conditioning program?
