“No Pay May!”

The Darling Bride Sharon yelled to me yesterday, “Barack, line 2″

“Could you ask him to hold for minute? I’m talking to my financial planner but tell him these are real short conversations nowadays.”

“Hey Barack, how you doin, buddy’? Pretty busy back in DC?”

“You said it Ronbo! I’m so busy my hoops game is almost history”

“How’s your off the dribble move? Ever learned to go the right?”

“Naw, that’s not my nature! You know the left is my strong side”

“Always has been!” I said

“But Ron, let’s get serious here, buddy” the Prez-to-be said, “I need your help!”

“You ‘da man BO, what’s up?”

“Well, you know we got all this federal money committed to these bankers but these Yahoos don’t seem to be loaning it to the common folks like you and Sharon so that’s got me all riled up. That’s what we intended when we did it but they’ve got different ideas. I know you’re always day-dreamin’ and wastin’ time but sometimes the light bulb does come on.

“So here’s my question; how can we help the hard workin, tax payin citizens get out of this stagnant, slowerin’ molasses in January, economy we’ve got?”

“Well, Barack, you’ve come to the right guy. Let me lay it on you!”

“Whatcha got Ron!”

“It’s called “No Pay May”, Barack!”

“No Pay May??? What the heck is that, Ron?”

“Well, here’s what I propose: Rather than keep handing out gazillions of non-existent dollars to the big boys over and over again (Barack is that the auto industry I hear calling again on line 322?) and saddling us and our kids and our grandkids with unsupportable debt, why not just have one month where Joe the plumber and every other tax paying citizen, pays no federal income tax on all their income in that month?

“I’m calling it No Pay May! And that means no taxes paid on income for the month of May. This will kick the economy right in the kiester and get everyone creative as to how they can “Make Hay in May!” so to speak”. Without a doubt, this’ll get every last person trying to figure out how to make-a-million-in-May, doncha’ think? Heck, some might even get a second job.”

“And with everybody making more money, they’ll be spending more money. Restaurants pick-up, cars get sold, department stores get cheery again…..are you getting the picture, Barack baby?”

“Heck if it works in May, you might be able to create “Have-A-Funner-Summer” program, no taxes for three months….one month, three months, six months, I don’t know. You got the boys in DC making big bucks that can figure out how long we can do it. I’m just the idea guy!”

“So what you’re saying, Ron is we suspend taxes for a short period of time and let the little guy do what ever with the money they would have paid in taxes and that will jump start the economy?”

“That’s it! No Pay May in a nutshell”

“Well, how do the feds pay their bills, Ron?”

“Same way they paid Wall Street a couple of months ago, Barack. We had no money then and some how you guys figured it all out so just figure it again……but this time let us little guys get some benefits.”

“Well, Ronbo, like I’ve always said, you’re always good for a couple of laughs and this may be the biggest guffaw ever, but I’ll give it some thought. Heck I might even nominate you for Secretary of Commerce now that Billy Boy’s stumbled with one of his campaign contributors.”

“No, but thanks anyway Barack. Don’t think I’d sit so well with some of those folks you work with…..I’d have trouble with the words “The fine senator from…….”

“Well, got to go Ron…Say hello to the Darling Bride and keep eating those organic plants or whatever you guys grow out there in Oregon. That must be what keeps those wild_ _ _ ideas flowing through that pea brain of yours.”

“Thanks, Barack. Say hi to Michelle and the kids. Gotta dog yet? I’ll talk to you soon.”

Well, obviously this little story never happened but I tell it to you to make my point.

You need to be a creative thinker nowadays!

There are huge financial opportunities out here and you should be taking advantage of them.

But you got to think differently that everyone else. That’s my point of this story.

There are gigantic opportunities in Real Estate right now and none are bigger than Probate.

I know I keep riding the same horse but that’s because it keeps crossing the finish line first!
